Add up the letters. Multiply by the length of the word. That’s the whole formula.
Letter values
The small number on each tile is its value. The four purple tiles are the rare letters.
Word length multiplier
Scores round down. The jump from four letters to five is the biggest step in the game.
Length beats everything
Same stem, three more letters each time. The score goes up five times.
Rare letters change the math
Both words are five letters. The Q and the K make QUICK worth more than twice as much.
Edit instead of starting over
Tap into a word you’ve built to move the cursor, then insert letters. SCARE becomes SQUARES without clearing anything.
How to score higher
One J, X, Q or Z in a five-letter word beats two ordinary four-letter words.
Four letters multiply by 3. Five multiply by 5. Nothing else on the board jumps that much.
An S or an ING adds a letter and raises the multiplier at the same time.
Staring for thirty seconds costs more than a reshuffle.
